Halloween is just four days away and I’m going all out this year! My best friend, Amy, is throwing this HUGE party, quite the event of the season, if you will. This gorgeous Halloween pendant was the inspiration for my vampire costume.

First, I was thinking of using this flowing black dress that I have . . . . but then I decided to make it fun. After all, someday I’ll be too old to pull off the hip Goth look, right? So, I’m going with black leather and a really tight, long sleeved shirt . . . black of course! Okay, I’m getting a bit carried away, here! How ridiculous is it for a grown woman to get so excited over Halloween? Must be the effect of that evil Halloween pendant!

There are a few things in life that give a girl much pleasure. Some of them include a good meal, a particularly delectable bar of chocolate (or at least a very enjoyable 2 ounces of it if you’re on a diet), hugs, clothes, gurly gadgets, and… Jewelry. Girls gravitate to beauty like bees to honey, and if there is anything that exemplifies beauty most, it would be one particularly beautifully-made jewelry piece, such as this pendant.

The next time I had a significant pendant given to me was when I was in the third grade and my mother bought me one because I made the top ten in our class. Yes folks, I used to be an honor student.

I also recall the diamond solitaire pendant that my first boyfriend gave me on our prom night when I was 16. He had given me twelve white roses. I had so many other experiences of significant people giving me both expensive and not-so-expensive jewelry, earrings, rings, pendants, and other trinkets that showed me how much these people care. Which made my days a little more exciting. But not only that, more memorable.

While I was browsing through my favorite jewelry blog, I came across this gorgeous, and uncanny thing.
