Hi all

Ring necklaces have made a big splash this year with stars like Felicity Huffman, and Keira Knightley indulging in this simple trend.

These designs are inspired by these celebrity’s favorite designer Gorjana. The style is simple yet incredibly chic. They are the perfect accent to any outfit without overpowering it.

Here are some simple variations on this theme that you can try:

Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend

Hi Girls

Marilyn Monroe diamond pendant

Did you know that Marilyn Monroe wore a gorgeous diamond shaped pendant in How to Marry a Millionaire? This magnificent rock was 7.18 carats. And of course she made this precious gem famous in Gentleman Prefer Blonds, as she belted out “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend.”

diamond eternity ringAn amazing fact though is that Marilyn only owned two pieces of quality jewelry, both given to her by her husband Joe DiMaggio. One was an eternity ring and the other a strand of pearls.

All of her other jewelry was costume jewelry. And yet she always looked glamorous and fabulous, thereby proving the point I have reiterated here time and again - you don’t have to spend a fortune on your jewelry to look like a star.

cubic zirconia earingsChoose pieces that appeal to you and are in your price range. The rest is simply attitude. So you can’t afford to wear the jewelry that the celebrities have borrowed. Big deal. Where your favorite diamond studs or even cubic zirconium necklace throw on your most eye catching dress and tell the world to look out because here you come.

Nicole Kidman loves Diamonds

Hi Girls

Nicole Kidman wedding

I was surfing the net and happened upon Nicole Kidman’s wedding pictures. The diamond necklace that she wore was absolutely stunning. It was the perfect accent to her gown and brought back the nostalgia of old style Hollywood glamor.

If I was getting married, I would definitely take a page out of her book, but at a more reasonable price tag. Something like this perhaps: diamond necklace

Wouldn’t it just look fabulous with a simple white gown with a long trail? Depending on how I had my hair, I could even add some diamond earrings.

What jewelry will you wear at your wedding? And for those of you who have already gotten married tell us if you went with diamonds or something as simple and beautiful as a strand of pearls.
