Diamonds Take Over the Liquidation Center

Sunday, October 28th, 2007

Hi girls,

It´s getting down to the end of the month and you know how money gets right before the paycheck. Regardless, I´ve been engaging in my favorite pastimes, looking at jewelry, of course! Thank goodness My Jewelry Box has a liquidation center where you can get even more of a discount on their jewelry. And the items there are really nice, not just second-rate castoffs.

Flower Diamond Ring 1/4 Carat in 14K White Gold

For example, here´s a really cute diamond ring. Not something you´d expect to find in a liquidation sale! But there is a catch, there are limited amounts of these items left. For example, this morning, when I was looking at this flower diamond ring, there were only 2 left, so you really need to make quick decisions . . . something I´m not very good at!

Liquidation Center Special: Diamond Bracelet Bangle 1/2 Carat (ctw) in White and Yellow 14K Gold

Diamond Bracelet Bangle 1/2 Carat (ctw) in White and Yellow 14K Gold

Would you believe that bracelets as fine as that would be on sale? Neither could I. And neither would you believe the rest of the items on the Liquidation Center.

But back to this bangle. I am just so amazed with white and yellow gold blended jewelry. While the traditionalists would actually go for one metal color all throughout their ensemble, using two colors in one jewelry is pretty innovative, if you think about it.

But other than the fact that I’m pretty fascinated with two-color jewelry, I am more fascinated by the fact that it is on sale!

From the original price of $1600 down to $499, you and I get to save 69% off the price, ladies!

As usual, I’m dreaming of a black dress to go with this. But a flowing white gown would be great too, right?

Either way, this bangle is a classic beauty, with sleek, elegant lines and a minimalist solitaire diamond right in the middle of her.

A Diamond Bracelet Bangle 1/2 Carat (ctw) in White and Yellow 14K Gold like her should not, ever, ever, be ignored! And girls, there is only one of these left in stock. So would you beat me to the Liquidation Center and grab the last one, or would I be the victorious sale-happy lady in the house once more and be the sole owner of the last Diamond Bracelet Bangle 1/2 Carat (ctw) in White and Yellow 14K Gold?

14K Yellow and White Gold Bangle

I know you love great finds, and I know you love pretty things. As usual, you shall have your daily dose of those!

Today, found this gorgeous 14K Yellow and White Gold Bangle in the Liquidation center. But the bad news is, there is only one of these pretty things left in stock! Down from $615 to $199, you get to save a whopping 68% off its retail price.

What I adore about this bangle is that its uncommon shape would set you apart from the other ladies when you wear it. It is of a shape that can be used day or night, with formal or casual wear. It is so versatile, I can even imagine myself wearing it to the beach! Seriously!

Wardrobe tips for this piece:

-Gold always looks gold with black. So if you plan to wear this with casual wear, to the office, PTA meeting, or when you go shopping on New York’s 5th Avenue, you can wear this with a sleek black turtleneck. pair this with diamond stud earrings set in yellow gold and a necklace with a solitaire diamond pendant, or any other simple but elegantly-designed pendant.

-But aside from the classic gold-and-black combination, you can actually wear this bangle with almost any and every color imaginable. I could even imagine wearing this with a lime/mint green knee-length sundress, a straw hat, and dainty white flat sandals!

Darlings, always remember that when you wear one color of precious metal, you have to wear the same color all throughout, unless your jewelry pieces are of the two- or three-tone kind. Mismatches speak of bad taste and of being a fashion victim; you wouldn’t want to be called a “fashion victim,” do you?

Liquidation Center Charm Pendant on Sale

The use and wearing of charms had started back in the ancient times, when people believed that charms ward off bad luck and protect the wearer. But its use in fashion reportedly started with Queen Victoria. When she began to wear charm bracelets, it soon became a fad among the noble classes in the England of her time. In the 1950s, America teenagers had worn charm bracelets with charms that marked off significant events in their lives.

Pretty interesting! I might want to start a new tradition: with every major event in my life, I’m buying a new charm, whether pendant or bracelet trinket/charm. And I have MyJewelryBox.com to thank for the idea, and for its Liquidation Center for being the best place to bump into the greatest finds!

Pretty Tri-Color Gold Flower Ring in Liquidation Center!

Wednesday, September 12th, 2007

I am a big fan of flowers. I am even a bigger fan of rose gold. And still, I might be the biggest fan of unique-looking jewelry.
14K Gold Flower Ring Tri-Colored
Today’s Liquidation Center feature is this beauteous 14K Tri-Colored Gold Flower Ring. What made it catch my eye was that, well, it is only too cute. And you know, the price is adorable, too. Down from $265, this baby is now only $79! A whopping 71% in savings!

But if you’re not sold on how pretty the price is, I’m sure you’d be convinced when you gaze deeper (and then click) on the image I have up there. Still not convinced? What if I tell you there are only 3 left in stock? Would you click on the image and buy the pretty lil ring then?

While you’re mulling over whether to buy the ring for yourself or your best friend or your teenage daughter, let me tell you a little story about gold.

The metal we know as gold is an element. Meaning, it is one of the basic materials that other things can be made of. It is just like carbon and oxygen. As we all know, everything living is made up carbon elements mixed with other elements. We breathe in pure oxygen, and we do breathe out air that is a mixture of carbon and oxygen.

Gold is originally yellow. But to make white gold, the element gold is mixed with a white metal, like silver or palladium. To make rose gold, it is mixed with copper. So now we know that that pretty ring is made up of pure gold, either silver and palladium mixed with gold, and copper mixed with gold. :)

Oh I so adore jewelry science! Haha!
