When one thinks of Cate Blanchette, the first thoughts are always of elegance and grace. I was thrilled when she was chosen to play Catherine Hepburn in the Aviator. She nailed that role. It seems that she has that same sense of simple fashion that made Hepburn a classic.

Have you ever noticed how Sandra Bullock always looks well put together, elegant and classy? For example, here she is looking cool, and in control with just some simple hoop earrings when she won the three year restraining order against Marcia Valentine, the woman who tried to run over her husband while his son watched.

Some actresses might have used the publicity angle and worn over the top clothing and jewelry to get some extra press. Sandra kept it simple and still looked stunning.

As I keep saying less is more when it comes to your jewelry choices. Apparently Sandra agrees. Whether is at a gala event or simply going down to the courthouse to stop a would be stalker, she proves you can still choose jewelry to produce that well put together image.

Have you noticed how Angelina Jolie has gone from trash to class in the last few years? That woman has really cleaned up her act and her style has become the envy of every woman in America. To enhance this image she has gone the Jackie O route with pearls and has been seen sporting gorgeous pearl earrings.

Maybe it’s time to take a page out of her book. All you need is impeccable makeup, simple yet stylish clothing and the class of some pearls - which have proven to be ageless. Ok maybe you also need the personal trainer, chef and Brad Pitt on your arm but a girl has to start somewhere.
