Have you noticed the new trend in flower earrings? I say new because I had not seen that style before. Well after a bit of net surfing I discovered that the trend may have started with that star of stars Betty Grable.

This 1940s phenomenon was one of the highest paid actresses of her time. It is no wonder she could afford her diamond earrings in the shape of flowers. I love the glamor of that time period. Stars really knew how to shine back then. Then again that whole era had a bit of a glitz to it. Couples actually dressed up in their best to go out to dinner or a club. Ahh the good old days. I wish I knew you.

We may not all be able to afford her diamond studded apparel but we can all afford to dress up a bit with the jewelry that we do own. Next time you are going out on the town with your favorite companion add a bit of glitz and watch his eyes shine.
