Hoop Earrings in 14K Tri-Colored GoldDiamond Earrings 2/5 Carat (ctw) in White GoldMulti-Color Freshwater Pearl Drop Earrings in 14K Yellow Gold

I was five when my family moved cities. In that new city, the first-ever girl to befriend me was someone I could actually call a free spirit. After so many years, we finally got to hang out with each other again. We both found out we share a passion for friendships, men (for her, for now; just one love of my life for me), and… Earrings.

Of all the jewelry we could ever both have an affinity for, earrings make the most sense, because, as was said in the Song of Solomon, “How lovely are your (a woman’s) cheeks; your earrings set them afire! How lovely is your neck, enhanced by a string of jewels.”

Take note, it was King Solomon who said that earrings made his beloved’s cheeks more comely, “afire” even! And so, I believe that they are what brings out a woman’s beauty most intensely. Well, how can you argue, when King Solomon, known for his great wisdom and appreciation of feminine beauty, one of the best known kings in the Bible himself, saw how earrings had brought out the beauty in his beloved’s face.

I, for one, know the power of the right pair of earrings to bring out my own beauty. Without a pair of particularly interesting chandelier earrings, my face is absolutely plain. But with the right pair of earrings matched with the right outfit, my beauty just shines through; is afire, so King Solomon says.

But back to my childhood best friend and I..

After an evening of coffee, muesli, talks about life, love, boys, earrings, jewelry and fashion, we parted with a greater appreciation for each other, and with a stronger friendship. And that just may include an exchange of earrings and other girly gifts in the future. :)

Special Jewelry, Special Pendants from Special People

Citrine Gemstone Drop Pendant 1/4 Carat (ctw) with Diamonds in Yellow Gold With ChainThere are times in a girl’s life where jewelry can be important to relationships. I remember when my kindergarten best friend and I had to be apart. She and I broke a locket, that heart-shaped pendant into which a picture could be placed inside, to remind us of our friendship even when we were away from each other.

The next time I had a significant pendant given to me was when I was in the third grade and my mother bought me one because I made the top ten in our class. Yes folks, I used to be an honor student.

I also recall the diamond solitaire pendant that my first boyfriend gave me on our prom night when I was 16. He had given me twelve white roses. He gave a single white rose every thirty minutes from the moment he picked me up at 6 P.M. down to 12 midnight. Wasn’t 6 P.M. too early? Yes, but he did take me to this romantic garden where we just talked and held hands.

I also recall a pendant given to me by my first boss. She had liked what I had done for our project, and to show her appreciation, she gave me a charm pendant of our project mascot: a cute high heeled pump shoe charm pendant.

I had so many other experiences of significant people giving me both expensive and not-so-expensive jewelry, earrings, rings, pendants, and other trinkets that showed me how much these people care. Which made my days a little more exciting. But not only that, more memorable.

I just have to remember that it is not the kind or the price tag of the jewelry that makes it special; the people who gave the jewelry are the ones who make these special.

To-die-for Pendant to Make You Look Like Nelly Furtado!

Another pendant for you to salivate on, girls!

Today’s Pendant feature will make you look like Nelly Furtado and feel like her too: like a star, like a million bucks. Diamond Stick Pendant 1/4 ctw in Yellow Gold with Chain

This Diamond Stick Pendant 1/4 ctw in Yellow Gold with Chain is great with low-cut blouses, and is especially made for glamming it up for a night out on the town. While it is certainly eye-catching with the column of genuine 1/4 carat round diamonds, it is also a beauty for its simplistic, elegant design in itself.

But do you know what will make you love this beauty all the more? The fact that it is only $79 down from $300. A whopping 74% off its list price? So are you loving it all the more yet? What if I also tell you that it only has three pieces left in stock, as of today? Would you realize that this might be your last shot at getting yourself this pretty thing that would make you achieve that signature Nelly Furtado look? When you do realize that, would you then run on over to my favorite jewelry [box] store?

I suggest you do, ladies, because this just might be your last chance at achieving that Nelly Furtado look.

Speaking of Nelly Furtado, I think she just might be one of the hottest stars this year. A couple of months ago, I did see her splashed on my Quicktime homepage. And seemingly, she was everywhere else too.. But honestly, her song “Promiscuous,” especially the live/acoustic version, must be the most orgasmic (pardon the pun) video Zoe has ever seen.

Life. Autumn. Jewelry. :)

Thursday, September 27th, 2007

It’s fall. Of all the seasons, it’s the one I totally look forward to. The bite of the cold air, and yet no worries of having to shovel snow just yet. The colors are just gorgeous, vivid, warm (in contrast to the cold weather), and the atmosphere is just so poignant.

I would really love to take a stroll through the parks and just savor the biting air, in my black slightly loose knit sweater, and thinking to myself how good it would be to be alive..

There are days when I am just so glad that I can breathe, that I can eat in French restaurants, that I can buy amber jewelry.

Speaking of fall, as I was doing my daily rounds of my favorite websites, I came across this:

autumn jewelry

And that was what inspired me to do this post.

You know, a girl should take a day off once a week. Well, I hear you saying “AT LEAST once a week!”

Lol.

But the point is, we have to rest, recharge, and just be able to catch falling leaves, kick the ones our men raked into a pile then help our men rake it up again, play with children, hear a baby gurgle out his or her glee, listen to music… And savor the cold Autumn air.

As it is, Zoe is on a park bench, breathing in the cold air, and typing away on her Macbook. :) Nothing like a moment to recharge, right?

Mmm. After today, it’s back to the crazy, corporate world. But in the midst of that craziness, it’s good to know that life’s little pleasures will never cease to be precious.

Mystic Topaz Pendant.. Whoa!

I am on a pendant roll, girls!

While I was browsing through my favorite jewelry blog, I came across this gorgeous, and uncanny thing.

This, my dearest girls, is what they call a Mystic Topaz and Diamond Pendant in Yellow Gold with Chain.

I have never seen a “mystic topaz” before, and I must say that I, pardon the pun, was totally mystified when I saw this. Not just mystified, I was also mesmerized. I have never seen anything like it, and to think I’ve been lurking around the ultimate online jewelry store for ages!

I have always been a fan of pretty stones. I’ve also been a fan of uncanny, uncommon trinkets and other stuff. To behold this uncanny thing is almost eerie.

I had encountered a lady before who educated me that stones reportedly have properties for easing health problems, enhancing brain and body performance, and even attracting mates, fortune, etcetera. But while I would treat all that information now with a more-than-the-healthy-dosage of skepticism today, I could not help connecting the eerie feeling I got when I beheld this Mystic Topaz and Diamond Pendant in Yellow Gold with Chain with my past encounters with people who believed in the mystical properties of stones.

MyJewelryBox.com does not say anything about the mystical properties of this pendant, but I sure am captivated by its beauty.

Even if it didn’t have mystical powers, you know, this pendant is still absolutely captivating. Totally worth a second glance.

A Gem Among Pendants!

Tuesday, September 25th, 2007

I did not intend to blog about this, but she just caught my eye today.

Yes, she is in the Liquidation Center, but let’s just treat her like any other beauty of a pendant, for now.

I don’t know whether it’s the obelisk/tower-like look, or the shiny space-age-esque surface, or the sheer elegance and sleekness of this pendant which actually made me do a double-take and decide to blog about this Diamond Pendant in 14K White Gold with Chain. Maybe it’s one of those; maybe it’s ALL of those. Either which way, this piece is so gorgeous, there is only one left in stock.

Diamond Pendant in 14K White Gold with Chain

So would you be able to beat the person who ultimately gets this one at 57% off its list price? At $119, do you think that any wise woman like you or me would be able to resist the chance to snatch this baby up? Not on your life! Or mine!

So while I certainly have the energy to digitally race any one of you who starts getting notions of grabbing the last piece of this beautiful thing, I will just sit back, relax, and enjoy seeing you girls troop on over to grab the last of the Diamond Pendants in 14K White Gold with Chain in my most absolutely favorite jewelry store.

Why? I have other trinket stashes to guard. :p

And before I forget ladies, wardrobe tips with this pendant:

A low-cut black sleeveless blouse, of the halter or the string-laced back types, preferably sleeveless, would look great with these. Wear with torn, faded, bootleg, skinny, or whatever kinds of jeans, and topped with an interesting hat and accented with gorgeous boots, and you will have one steamy, sexy ensemble that will make the boys.. And even the ladies, turn all eyes on you.
