Gifts for Men
Hi Girls
My best friend was moaning to me last night, over Margaritas, that she never knows what to get her boyfriend. It is their two year anniversary and he has already hinted that he is getting her something that will “blow her mind.”
Have you ever noticed how difficult it is to find good gifts for men? I mean you think you have the perfect gift, they smile and the next thing you know it is gathering dust in the back of the closet.
What do men want anyway?
Well, I think the answer lies in the type of man. For example, my dad owns three thousand ties. You would think that buying him a tie would be a useless endeavor but the truth of the matter is that he likes them. I might get him some really cool cuff links though to go with some of his great ties.
These cuff links, for example would look fantastic with his burgundy and black tie.
My brother in law, on the other hand, would destroy any jewelry that I gave him. The closest you might get him to cuff links is if they had poker chips on them.
If you are buying for your sweetie, look and see what type of jewelry that he wears, if any.
Something like this:
could be ideal. It is attractive without making him look like a sissy. You want to get him something that flies under his male friends’ radar.
Then again if you have just started dating, two tickets to his favorite game might be a better choice.
I believe that my friend may end up getting him a pool table, a big mistake in my opinion. They live together and she may end up seeing more of his friends than she can tolerate. They are great guys but once a week is enough without having their beer and chips all over her rug.
Oh well, when it comes to gifts for men, we are all a bit clueless. You buy, pray and try again.
